This online service allows access to State of Maine driving records retrieved directly from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles database. The electronic record displays driving history information only. The federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act of 1994 restricts access to personal information, including address and social security number (title 18, United States Code, chapter 123). You may see a record example before making a non-refundable search.

What records are available in this service?

  • 3 year driving history
  • 10 year driving history

    • What will the record contain?
    Due to the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act, the address of the licensee will not be displayed in your search results.

  • If you search by name and date of birth, the license number will not be displayed.
  • If you search by driver’s license number, the name and date of birth of the licensee will not be displayed.

    • To use this service, you will need:

    • The License Number of an individual
      • -OR-
    • The name & date of birth of an individual

    • A valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Discover)
    • A printer
