Apply for a chance to attend a one-week camp experience with Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Camp North Woods hosted at The University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond!

The application deadline is Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 11:59pm.

The registration fee for the winners selected via the lottery process will be $750 for both resident and non-residents and includes all meals, lodging and instruction for the week. Qualifying Maine residents may be eligible for a scholarship to camp through the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund. On Friday, March 13, 2026, 96 lucky winners (1/2 girls and 1/2 boys) will be selected in a chance drawing. Lottery winners will be notified by email IF they are selected. Camp is co-ed and will be separated out by younger and older age groups.

Camp Dates for 2026: Sunday, July 26, 2026 - Friday, July 31, 2026

All Maine residents will be eligible to receive a scholarship in the amount of $400 from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, reducing your registration fee to $350 for the week. If you have previously received a conservation scholarship for another safety program you are not eligible for this scholarship and your registration fee will be $750 to attend.

*If you have attended Camp North Woods during ANY OTHER year you cannot apply for the lottery!

*Eligible camper ages for 2026 will be 10-14 years old. (Must be 10 by Sunday, July 26, 2026)

*If you are not selected via the lottery process your name will automatically go onto an alternate list and you will be contacted if the use of alternates is necessary.

*All campers will go through an ATV and Hunter safety course where they will earn their ATV and Hunter safety certification during their week at camp.

Who can use this service?

  • All youth that are at least 10 years old before July 26, 2026 and no older than 14 years old on July 31, 2026 can apply for the lottery.
  • NOTE: If you have attended Camp North Woods at any other time you may not apply for the lottery.

Application Entry Fees

  • $10 paid by Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards. All lottery entry fees will be donated to Camp North Woods.
