Welcome to the UCC Search & Filing service. This online service allows users to electronically file and search UCC financing statements with the Maine Secretary of State's office.

What you will need

• You will need to have the proper information regarding debtors, secured parties and collateral to enter into the online forms.
• A credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express) or subscription with InforME (visit the InforME website for more information about InforME Subscriber Accounts)
• PDF viewer or Adobe Reader (visit the Adobe website to download the free Adobe Reader)
• You must have cookies enabled in order to use this online service.

Please note: Pursuant to Maine UCC Rules, if you enter any non-standard ASCII characters, these characters will be converted to a space. You will have the opportunity to review and make any necessary changes prior to submitting the search or filing.

Please note: As of October 21, 2013, when doing a UCC search, you must be sure you are searching the exact name. "Noise words" (meaning the words and abbreviations at the end of a name that indicate the existence or nature of an organization) will no longer be disregarded in a search.
