New Renewal or Replacement
- If you wish to renew a Commercial Driver's License or a REAL ID credential, or wish to obtain a REAL ID credential for the first time, please visit a Bureau of Motor Vehicles location.
- If you are a non-citizen, please visit a Bureau of Motor Vehicles location.
- If you are renewing a driver's license and are age 40 or over, visit https://www.maine.gov/sos/bmv/licenses/vision.html to determine whether you may need an eye examination.
- If you need your license or ID card to be shipped to or display an address other than the one on file with BMV, please contact the Bureau of Motor Vehicles at 207-624-9000 x 52114 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Eastern Time to update the information.
